Four in a row sees the Blue and Whites move up to sixth in the table. Málaga traveled to local rivals Sevilla and came away with three points in a 0-1 victory, Sevilla’s first defeat of the season. Adrián got the only goal of the match after fifteen minutes.
Real Madrid move up to third, level on points with Barcelona, after a 3-2 victory over Athletic Bilbao. Sneijder and Higuaín set things going and Real appeared to be coasting, but goals from Exteberría and Iraloa, a hotly disputed penalty decision, made it all square again. Then up popped Higuaín to grab a second goal of the night to give victory to the home side.
Valencia are back on top of the pile, despite only managing a draw at home to Recreativo. Camuñas put the visitors ahead early in the second half but David Villa equalised a few minutes later.
In Division 2, Salamanca remain three points clear after a 2-0 victory over Huesca, Cohen and Quique Martín getting the goals. Hércules are back up to second after a 3-0 win against Alavés with goals from Carril, Fariños and Navarro.
In the Primera Andaluxa Grupo 3, the local lads C.D. Nerja registered a good away win against Barrio NS Remedios, 0-2 the score. The victory moves them back up to fifth in the table.
Mancha Real still lead the way after a 1-0 win against Fuengirola.
And poor old Álcala C.F. Must check if they are actually fielding a goalkeeper as this week they were on the end of a 9-0 hammering by Torremolinos. They’ve now conceded 42 goals in just 7 matches, and only scored 2 in reply.
