Fancy a bit of culture, learn more about the old sugar mills of Nerja?
On November 8th there is a free cultural excursion, by bus, to the Sugar Mills of Nerja and Maro, 4 of them in total.
Prior to the trip itself, there will be a lecture, in Spanish, explaining the history and importance of these sugar mills and this takes place in the “Sala La Fabrica” at the El Chaparil school.
Programme:
10:00 Handing out of leaflets.
11:00 Lecture, in Spanish, by the historian Rafael Maura.
12:00 Guided bus tour to the 4 remaining sugar mills in Nerja and Maro.
14:00 Return to El Chaparil.
There are limited spaces so you will need to reserve, and you can do that at the Nerja Cultural Centre in calle Granada (Tel. 952 52 3863 or 952 52 0190) from November 3rd to 7th, 10:00 to 14:00.
