The Marine Rescue Service and Guardia Civil have assisted 30 sub-Saharan travellers to reach the port of Tarifa, Cádiz province.
The travellers, who include five minors, were intercepted south of Valdevaqueros, near Tarifa, with some of those on board suffering from hyperthermia. The Red Cross were on hand to offer medical assistance.
The passengers consisted of 14 men, 11 women and 5 children, none of whom had remembered to bring any papers with them on their trip. They will now receive further help to get back to their homes.
