So, how come places like Rincón de la Victoria can complete projects like this:
The new paseo will be 25 metres wide and almost half a kilometre in length. It will have several lanes, a roundabout, crossings and a large central pedestrian area with gardens, palm trees and footpaths for leisure and recreation. Also included in the project is the installation of new networks for drinking water, stormwater drainage, sewage, lighting and medium and low voltage electricity cabling.
in a little over three months when it takes Nerja that long just to change a lightbulb, twice as long to tart-up a square (Plaza de la Ermita) and three times as long to build a single roundabout (Capistrano) or put down a few pipes (Carabeo)?
Obviously, the Rincón project is most unlikely to be completed within the stipulated period, but even still! Meanwhile, we’re stuck with an unfinished underground car park, unfinished Rio Chillar, unfinished residential home….and yet new projects keep being started left, right and centre.
