The ski season began on Saturday in the Sierra Nevada with 33 kilometres of skiable tracks and 9 lifts operating.
There are 37 pistes open in Parador, Veleta, Borreguiles and Loma de Dílar and amongst the lifts currently operating are the chairlifts of Monachil, Virgen de las Nieves, Veletas and Sabika. There is between 20cm and 50cm of quality powder snow in Borreguiles and El Rio.
If the weather is benevolent it is hoped to keep all these areas open for skiers and snowboarders. The day price is €32.50 for adults and €19.50 for children.
