The Christmas lights in Nerja will begin to shine as from December 6th and continue until January 6th. The town will be suitably festively lit up Monday to Thursday from 19:00 to 02:00, weekends from 19:00 to 05:00 and on Christmas Day, New Year and Three Kings from 19:00 to 06:00.
As well as strange objects being lit up on roundabouts, the Balcón de Europa and entrances into town, the following streets will have festive illuminations:
Calle La Cruz – 8 lights.
Calle Pintada North -15 lights.
Calle Pintada South – 15 lights.
Calle Cristo – 8 lights.
Calle El Barrio – 7 lights.
Calle Granada – 9 lights.
Calle San Miguel – 5 lights.
Bda. Los Poetas – 7 lights.
Calle Diputación – 7 lights.
Plaza Tutti Fruti – 5 lights.
Calle Puerta del Mar – 4 lights.
Calle Antonio Millón – 4 lights.
The streets of Maro – 7 lights.
As per normal, businesses in the town have contributed towards the cost of the festive lighting, despite the current economic crisis.
