The Department of Infrastructure in Benajarafe has announced the start of the tendering process for the construction of a new football pitch in the town.
The budget for the works is €685,880 and is being funded jointly by the Municipal Council and the Junta de Andalucía (Ministry of Tourism and Sports).
The contract is expected to be awarded in the first quarter of 2009 and the scheduled completion period is six months. The new facility, which will be 100 metres by 65 metres, will have an artificial surface and a low-energy LED lighting system is to be installed as part of an energy conservation plan.
