The Nerja Councillor for Transport, Antonio Miguel Navas, has clarified the position regarding the sale of bus tickets in Nerja after rumours began circulating that this service was to stop.
During the past few days, there had been some press reports that the bus company ALSA was closing down a lot of ticket offices in the Axarquia, including the one in Nerja. ALSA, formally Alsina Graells, is now part of National Express.
The Councillor contacted the head of National Express in Málaga, Lorenzo Ramírez, who assured him that, although there will be some changes in the Axarquia, Nerja would definitely continue to be a point of sale for tickets and that opening times of the kiosk would remain unaltered.
Ramirez added that, due to the number of tickets sold in Nerja, particularly in the summer, it would be daft to close the office.
