The first New Year baby born in Málaga province arrived at 00:09 on Thursday January 1st.
The birth, natural and without epidural, took place at the Hospital de la Axarquía. The baby girl, named Nisrin, weighed in at 3,650 grams and was 50 centimetres in length.
The mother, 42 year old Aisha Nadira, a Moroccan national, lives in Nerja and has four other children.
