A total of 882 candidates from all over Spain are currently busy with two days of physical tests in their quest to become police officers in Vélez-Málaga.
It is the first phase of qualification for these aspiring officers who are chasing the 11 positions expected to be filled during this year in Vélez-Málaga.
Normally, around 15% of the candidates fall by the wayside at this stage, although the authorities have noticed an increased level of preparedness this year.
After completing the physical examination, candidates will go on to complete further tests, psychological, theory and medical, before starting a nine month course at the Escuela de Seguridad Púbica de Andalucía (ESPA) – School of Public Safety.
