Today we said our final farewells to Maurice ‘Mo’ Clark as, in accordance with his last wishes, his ashes were scattered in the sea at Carabeillo beach.
Many will remember Mo for his show ‘Mo’s Memories’ on the original Sunshine radio, as he treated the listeners to a seemingly endless stream of anecdotes from his life in the music business.
Mo was the man who knew all the stars, the man who signed the Rolling Stones, always interesting, invariably chirpy and with a great sense of humour. But above all, he was one of that dying breed, a true gentleman.
It was only fitting that his final resting place should be the place he had made his home and come to love so much, and it was an emotional scene as his ashes were cast into the sea at Carabeillo beach.
Maurice Clark, R.I.P………..and thanks for the ‘memories’, it was an honour and a pleasure to have known you.
