Earthquake measuring 2.7 hits Granada province

At 02:07 on Sunday morning, an earthquake measuring 2.7 on the Richter Scale was felt in many parts of Granada province.

The earthquake had its epicentre east of the town of Ogíjares and was felt right through the area and as far as the capital, Granada.

Around 15 people phoned the Emergency Services to report a ‘tremor’ and a ‘strange noise’. There were no causualties and no reports of any material damage.
