A two year old child died in Jódar, Jaén province, after being accidentally run over by her grandfather.
The incident occurred in an area known as ‘La loma de las liebres’, where the grandfather, a 73 year old, was working in an olive grove. His Land Rover Defender accidentally hit the child and caused injuries which resulted in his grandson’s death.
The child was taken to hospital but the medical staff were unable to do anything to save his life.
The accident occurred on Saturday afternoon, but it wasn’t until the following morning that the police became aware of the incident. An investigation is underway.
