A slight change to the time allocated for the weekend ‘botellón’ – street drinking party – in Nerja has been agreed by the Council.
Up until now, the botellón was permitted between 22:00 and 03:30, but this has been changed to 22:00 ans 01:30 following protests by residents in the El Chaparil area and bar owners in Plaza Tutti Frutti.
Local residents had been complaning about excessive noise caused by the botellón and bar owners in Plaza Tutti Frutti were unhapy that the finishing time for the street drinking parties was the same as their own closing times and thus affecting business.
