There is great concern about improving safety on the internet, especially relating to children, and a number of major social networking sites have already pledged to do more to protect young users.
Social networking sites such as Bebo, MySpace and Facebook, have become very popular among youngsters and has helped them become sophisticated web users. However, it is widely believed that such users, however sophisticated they have become, still need guidance, information and help on a number of issues.
Bullying via the internet, for example, is one such problem. A recent survey resulted in the revelation that as many as 29% of those surveyed stated that they had suffered some sort of bullying while using the internet.
