The Nerja Caves Foundation is busy preparing a draft project which will see a 36,000 metre area turned into a huge botanical garden. The draft is expected to be ready in the next couple of months and the project could start in June and be completed in 2010.
The area in question is from the restaurant area down to the highway and included in the project are plans for the construction of a sort of information/study centre and a viewing platform.
The project is being financed by the Ministry of Environment.
