A 58 year old man was arrested in the early hours of this morning after he drove for 40 kilometres in the wrong direction down the A-7 in Almería.
The driver finally came to an abrupt halt when he collided with another vehicle which was travelling in the correct direction along the road. Fortunately, no-one was seriously injured in the crash.
The driver was breathalised and found to be three times over the legal limit. He is due to appear in court shortly.
