The newly formed Plataforma en Defensa del Litoral Torroxeño (Platform for the Defence of the Torrox Coastline) is planning two demonstrations to press their demands for a permanent solution to the problem of beach erosion in the municipality.
The first protest will be tomorrow outside the Council offices, the second will be next Wednesday outside the offices of the Department of Coasts in Málaga.
The group want to see the installation of breakwaters to prevent the perpetual erosion of the beaches each year rather than a constant topping up of the sand, the current practice.
