In the Spanish Junior Cross-Country Club Championships held in Cáceres at the weekend, victory went to the local Club Nerja de Atletismo Cueva de Nerja-Uma.
Barcelona FC were runners up with Jaén in third place. The win means that the club will be competing in the European Club Championships, the third time they have managed this feat in their 25 year history.
Of the nine Nerja teams participating in the Spanish Championships in the various categories, six finished in the top eight placings, the best overall results in the history of Club Nerja de Atletismo Cueva de Nerja-Uma.
