Nerja Council has initially approved a plan and environmental impact study relating to the site allocated for the new Fire Station.
The site, a 3,625 square metre plot on the Frigiliana road is currently registered as rural under the PGOU and this has to be changed. The Council plan will now be posted in the Official Provincial Gazette (BOP) to allow for any objections or amendments.
The document is available for viewing for a period of one month at the Department of Urban Planning between 10.00 and 14.00, Monday to Friday
Once the plan has been ‘bopped’, the plot can be passed over to the Provincial Council and work can begin. If everything goes to plan, the new Fire Station could be ready by the end of next year.
