Renovation time at Kronox cafe on the Balcón de Europa, getting everything spruced up for Easter. Quite a few people pottering about on the Balcón today and the cafe Albi terrace was almost full. Not really hot enough for the beach I suppose, although nice and calm for swimming. Still no market yet, just a question of wait and see if it does restart during Easter as has been rumoured. Even if it does, being so far out of town one would imagine a lot of elderly people who used to frequent the market on a regular basis when it was in the centre are going to find it too much and just not bother. Not sure even a free bus service would help that much.
The facade of the building at the Balcón end of calle Carabeo – or should it be renamed Smelly Alley? – is covered in netting as renovation work continues on the old houses. Further down, work continues (slowly). The digger is there again but rarely see it in action. Today’s ‘work’ appeared to be the strenuous task of leaning on the fence and chatting.
Still exceedingly smelly near the works and it was once again drifting up to calle Pintada.
