A third day of searching at the Alcalá de Guadaíra landfill site in Sevilla has ended without any trace being found of the body of missing teenager Marta del Castilla.
However, the search has now reached a critical and sensitive stage, arriving at the rubbish which was collected on or around January 24th, the day Marta disappeared. The refuse is being carefully sifted and analysed by a team of experts.
Meanwhile, traces of blood have been found on the rubbish containers in calle León XIII where Miguel Carcaño alleges that the body was dumped. Forensics experts have managed to extract a DNA sample but have not yet been able to match it to the profile of Marta del Castillo.
The search will resume early tomorrow.
