Two sailors have been rescued near Tenerife after being adrift in their small fishing boat for 32 days;
The two men, a Spaniard and a Moroccan, went fishing off the coast of Huelva in their small boat. Their engine broke down and they ended up drifting aimlessly for a toral of 32 days.
For the past 15 days, the pair have had no food and very little drinking water and apparently, especially when the boat began to sink, thoughts of suicide crossed their minds.
Fortunately, they were spotted by a merchant vessel traveling between the peninsular and the Canary Islands. Both men were suffering from mild hyperthermia and convulsions but were in remarkably good health considering their ordeal. Both are now just looking forward to going home.
