The new, temporary Fire Station by the Burriana roundabout is now officially operational and will be the base for the Nerja Fire Brigade until the proposed new Fire Park on the Frigiliana road becomes a reality.
The temporary site, which cost €86,000 to construct, was officially inaugurated by the Councillor for Civil Protection and Fire Services, Antonio Miguel Navas Acosta , and the Provincial Deputy of the Provincial Consortium of Firefighters, Cristóbal Guerrero.
The new Fore Park, funded by the Junta de Andalucía will, when completed, provide cover for Nerja, Torrox, Frigiliana, Competa and all areas in between.
