Hotels in Andalucía are still expecting an overall occupancy rate of 80% during the Semana Santa holiday period, similar to last year.
However, having lowered their prices to attract visitors, the hoteliers anticipate making much less profit.
By province, Málaga, Sevilla and Cádiz are looking at an 85% occupancy rate, Huelva, Jaén and Córdoba are expecting around 80%, Almeria around 60% and Granada around 70% in the Sierra Nevadas and 85% along the coast.
The busiest time is expected to be the last few days of the holiday period, with a lot of last minute bookings.
