Somebody must have been counting heads on Friday, with reports that there were 3,000 people on the Balcón de Europa on Friday for the start of the procession. It certainly was crowded.
Antonio Cortes, perched on the balcony above La Biznaga, sang the saetas (sacred songs sung flamenco style) as the thrones emerged from the church. (Note to Britney if she was watching: if you can sing, you don’t need to lipsync).
The final parade, the procession of Jesús Resucitado y María Santísima de la Asunción, take place this morning at 12:00 and follows the route: Paseo Balcón de Europa, Puerta del Mar, Pintada, Arropiero, Huertos, Frigiliana, Carretas, Pintada, Angustias, Plaza de la Ermita, Granada, Carmen and back to the Paseo Balcón de Europa.
