The majority of Local Police officers in Torrox, around 80% of them, have apparently signed a document refusing to work extra shifts. The document has been handed to the Town Council.
The reasons for this refusal are various, ranging from ‘personal reasons’ to ‘favoritism’ to ‘councilor arrogance’. The Councilor responsible for the police, Manuel Palomas, has played down the situation, saying that almost all of the officers are fulfilling their obligations.
