Major road improvements are underway in Torrox which will see the main road through the historic centre turned into a boulevard with pavements, improved lighting and decorative gardens.
Work has started near the Molino Pérez oil mill and will cover a two kilometre stretch. The project has a budget of €1.75 million and a completion period of ten months.
The idea is for work to start almost simultaneously at both ends and they should be getting started around La Rabitilla in the next couple of days. Hopefully they will meet in the middle!
The Councilor for Infrastructure, Manuel Palomas, has apologised to residents for any upcoming inconvenience caused by the works.
