Around 100 relatives from all over Spain joined 500 other people in Grazalema for a funeral service for 15 women and a child whose bodies were found in a mass Civil War grave in the town.
Three of the women had been pregnant at the time of their execution.
The bodies in the mass grave were identified and then given a proper, dignified burial as part of a project funded by Cádiz Council under the Recuperación de la Memoria Histórica – The Recovery of Historical memory.
