Nerja Council has already entered into negotiations with the landowners of Los Pinos, the proposed site of the new bus station.
The Councilor for Transport, Antonio Miguel Navas said that negotiations are moving along ‘at a good pace’. Asked about the comments made by the provincial delegate from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Dolores Fernández, that, according to the Junta de Andalucía, the plot of land was in private hands and not suitably classified for use as a bus station, the Councilor admitted that this was true.
However, he added that negotiations with the six plot owners had actually been going on for about six weeks now and an agreement has already been reached with the Balcon de Europa Cooperative. They have been given a suitable plot in Castillo Alto.
The Council are confident of reaching agreements with all the landowners in the near future which will thewn enable the land to be reclassified and handed over to the Junta de Andalucía.
