A veritable mini-armada of boats have arrived off the coast of Almería carrying, in total, 116 North African immigrants of the illegal kind.
The first three boats were intercepted on Tuesday afternoon a few miles from Cabo de Gata, a very popular arrivals point on the Almería coast. There were 48 passengers, several of whom were minors.
Four more boats, carring a total of 68 passengers, were intercepted later in the evening in the same area. All were said to be in good health after being routinely checked out by the Red Cross.
