Budget airline Ryanair are never slow to take advantage of a situation when it comes to promotion, but it does tend to get them into trouble.
In 2007, Ryanair briefly made unauthorised use of photos of Prime Minister Zapatero for an advertising campaign.
In February 2008, the airline was forced to pay €60,000 to French President Nicolas Sarkozy and first lady Carla Bruni after using their photos, again without permission, for an advertising campaign.
Now, Ryanair has apologised to Queen Sofia after using her photo, once again without permission, in their latest campaign. Queen Sofia recently used the budget airline on a trip from Santander to London to visit her brother, Constantine of Greece, who was receiving treatment at a British hospital.
