The final touches are being made to the two new roundabouts in Maro, built at a cost of €300,000 by the company Sardalla Española.
The roundabouts, part of a €1.5 million investment agreed with the Ministry of Development for ceding control of the N-340 to the municipality, are next to the Hotel Playa Maro and on the N-340 itself and should make it a lot safer in the area as well as helping traffic flow.
The new roundabouts will be officially handed over to Nerja Council once all the finishing touches are completed.
Other projects in the €1.5 million package include the new roundabout at Punta Lara/Tropicana, a crossing at the Rapto de Europa, improved street lighting and signalling and various bits of landscaping.
Nerja now has a dozen roundabouts!
