In the past couple of days, the Local Police on Burriana beach have recovered a number of the wooden panels used as walkways or paths on the beach after they ‘disappeared’ during the San Juan celebrations.
Several people have already been identified as having been involved in removing the panels and action is to be taken against them according to the Councilor for beaches, Jonathan Méndez.
So far this year, around 80 of the wooden panels have been removed from the beach. At a cost of €40 each, the total loss is €3,200.
Also during San Juan, there were several instances reported of people making illegal connections to the electricity supply and these individuals can also expect to be fined.
