The ‘national’ holiday season is now upon us, which could explain the recent flurry of building activity, such as asphalting the N-340 coast road, digging up calle Granada, asphalting down at Burriana beach.
Why are so many things started just before the holiday season? Especially when numerous other projects, which should have been finished long ago, are still unfinished! El Chucho beach, car parks, calle Carabeo – these were all supposed to be finished before the summer.
Work in calle Granada, which was supposed to take a few days, or a week if you asked the workmen themselves, is now in its third week. Vehicular access has been limited for most of the time and this has started to affect businesses in the street.
In calle Carabeo, there have been constant updates stating that it would definitely be finished before the summer, although some long time ago, the workmen on the project (always a good source) confirmed that there was no way it would be finished on time.
