A fire at a bar in the heart of Granada has forced the evacuation of residents living above the premises.
The building, located on calle Ángel Ganivet is undergoing renovations and the fire, which started at 10:45 this morning, is thought to have been caused by a spark from machinery which ignited some highly flammable glue.
As a precautionary measure, residents of the block were evacuated from their homes and the street was cordoned off as forty firefighters and police tackled the blaze. There were no injuries, but the damage to the bar was extensive, including the collapse of the roof.
