A hiker out on a walk near the Peñón de Almayate in Vélez-Málaga discovered the badly decomposed body of a man who appears to have had an accident while driving a quad bike.
Yesterday lunchtime, the hiker discovered the body at the bottom of a 30 metre deep ravine. It is thought that the man was driving his quad bike on top of the hill and then plunged down into the ravine.
Papers found on the deceased indicate that he was a 50 year old German national with the initials H.E.S. who lived in Almayete.
The state of the body leads police to believe that the accident happened at least ten days ago. It has also been revealed that there had been no reports of missing persons.
