The 60 residents in Albánchez who were forced to leave their homes after a landslide yesterday are unlikely to be allowed to return to their abodes for at least two weeks according to preliminary reports.
Architechts and other specialists have been examining the 21 houses affected by the landslide, possibly caused by a low intensity earth tremor, and have found numerous cracks in walls and, in some cases, damage to the foundations of the buildings.
A more detailed report has yet to be produced and then emergency repair work will have to be carried out before any of the residents can return to their homes.
