Disturbing news that some people have been getting ‘tickets’ in the Los Huertos car park! In the early hours of the morning, Local Police officers were apparently putting tickets on cars if they were not perfectly parked within the (poorly) marked bays.
Apart from being waste ground, it IS a CAR PARK after all. What’s the point of attracting tourists if you then give them a ticket for a petty offence in a car park! Sounds like one of these periodic money-making edicts has been issued by those in authority. Typical that it is carried out in the dead of night, probably to avoid confrontation with residents.
Several years ago, on the day the fine for illegal parking was doubled, the police were ordered to go out and book as many people as possible. At one minute past midnight they were out doing their ‘duty’, although many were not happy about the orders, and by morning there were queues of residents at the police station complaining.
There was some interesting parking down at Burriana beach yesterday, but no tickets given out.
