A second woman in Andalucía has died as a result of complications arising from Influenza A, bringing the total number of fatalities in Spain to fourteen.
The second death, a 50 year old woman from Cádiz, occurred on Saturday evening. The woman had been admitted to the Hospital La Línea de la Concepción suffering from a high fever but was transferred a few days later to the ICU at the Hospital Punta de Europa in Algeciras.
The medical staff were unable to save her life and she died late on Saturday night. As in the first case in Andalucía, a 39 year old pregnant woman, the woman belonged to a ‘high risk’ group and was already suffering other medical problems.
