Five people, all foreign nationals, have been arrested after the discovery of a large quantity of hashish on board a fishing vessel in Isla Cristina, Huelva province.
The drugs, weighing over 5,000 kilos, were discovered on Saturday in the engine room of a fishing boat moored in Isla Cristina. The boat, which is regualrly moored in the port, was flying the Portuguese flag.
At the current time, the Guardia Civil has not been able to ascertain either the origin or destination of the drugs. Further arrests in the case have not been ruled out.
