Now here’s a great idea, areas specifically for dogs and owners. Some of the areas are open, others are enclosed so that the pooches can run around freely, and they vary in size.
What they also have is a plastic bag dispenser so that the owners can clean up after their animals. In any event, the general public are somewhat spared contact with residual canine waste.
These particular ones are in Milan, but I’m sure something of a similar nature could be dreamt up for smaller urban communities. A series of small, strategically located ‘Doggie Boggies’ throughout the town, an education campaign and hefty fines for offenders….Other countries have various types of ‘canine toilet’ schemes in operation, so why not here?
