The Libyan leader Muammar al-Gadaffi appears to have cancelled a planned stopover in Sevilla.
Gadaffi has been addressing the United Nations and attending the II ASA, the Africa-South America conference, in Venezuela and was rumoured to be making a stopover in Sevilla on his way back to Tripoli. He made a trip to Sevilla in 2007, just prior to his official visit to Spain.
The travel arrangements of the Libyan leader always tend to involve a mixture of speculation, spontaneity, secrecy and mystery and this trip is no exception.
