A 44 year old man has died after falling about eight metres at a quarry in Huéscar, Granada, the seventh industrial fatality in the province so far this year.
An initial UGT Union investigation into the accident suggests that security measures at the Difer Mármol quarry were not as they should be and they are preparing a report on the incident.
The man, initials J.J.P.M., fell from a height of about eight metres, landing on some rocks and a skull fracturing which caused his death.
