A report by the EAPN Andalucía (Andalusian Network for Combating Poverty and Social Exclusion) concludes that almost three in ten Andalucíans are living below the poverty line and one in four is unemployed.
Despite all the political rhetoric about the end of the recession, green roots of recovery in evidence and other optimistic concepts, unemployment is still on the increase and shows little sign of slowing down. The unemployment rate in Spain is apparently set to increase on a constant basis during the coming months.
