Jerez is facing a second day without buses as workers strike in protest at unpaid wages. Only a local bus is serving the city at the moment.
The 225 workers are claiming €345,000 in unpaid wages for September and October. The bus company, Cojetusa, claims it cannot afford to pay the wages as subsidies due from the Council have not been paid.
The strike is due to continue until Friday and then, if no solution is found, further industrial action is planned for December. Support for the strike action is said to be one hundred percent.
