October 31st is not only Halloween, but also the Fiesta de la Castaña y el Boniato (Festival of the chestnut and sweet potato) in Maro, and this year the two are being combined to give us ‘Maroween’.
In addition to ample supplies of roasted chestnuts, sweet potatoes and anis, there will also be various other activities going on such as a ‘parade of terror’. On the Halloween side, there will be prizes awarded for the best costumes.
It all starts at 19:00 and will finish with a performance by the group Hados Negros.
