From Friday until Sunday, the Villa district of Vélez-Málaga will become the scene of ‘La Alhóndiga de Ballix’, a medieval market aimed at revitalising this ancient part of the city.
The programme of events includes ‘La Villa folk’. with Lombarda, Eliseo Parra, La Conjura, Biella Nuei, El Espíritu del Lúgubre and La Musgaña. This takes place in Plaza de la Constitución from 20:30.
Friday also sees a tribute to the poet and troubadour José Martín Ortega (1920-1956), more famously known as ‘Miguiña’. There will be handicrafts stalls, workshops, storytelling and the tasting of traditional cakes and savouries such as’ tejeringos’, ‘arropías’, ‘roscos’ and ‘buñuelos’.
