The ski resort in the Sierra Nevada is looking to open for business on November 28th.
Cetursa, the company who run the resort, began producing artificial snow on Thursday in preparation for the start of the season. Snow has been forecast for next week but the snow machines will continue in operation even if this happens.
Forty snow cannons are busy covering the pistes at Borreguiles, el Zorro, Perdiz, the beginners slopes and the top of the Rio. There could still be an adjustment in the start date for the season, depending on the quality of the surface snow.
