Iberia will be cancelling 368 flight tomorrow and the day after due to continued strike action by cabin crew.
Most of the cancellations will be domestic flights. Once again, code-share flights such as Vueling and Air Nostrum will not be affected and very few long haul flights are expected to be affected.
Passengers whose flights are cancelled should contact their travel agent or tour operator to arrange for a refund or an alternative flight. Reimbursements are permitted up until November 30th with the validity of new tickets being up to to March 31st 2010.
The Ministry of Development lays down statutory minimum service levels in the event of strike action but Iberia have already opened files on 33 crew members for breach of these service levels and other irregularities during the earlier strike in October when 430 flights had to be cancelled.
Iberia also accuses the cabin crew of carrying out strike action in support of pay demands without being willing to negotiate or listen to proposals being made by the airline.
